Brilliant beetroot!

The humble beetroot is now becoming a ‘superfood’ in the world of nutrition and for very good reason. Recent studies have shown that beetroot can not only improve endurance during exercise, improve blood circulation but even have a significant effect on lowering blood pressure (BP)! This is because beetroot contains high levels of nitric acid. This compound causes blood vessels to open up allowing blood to flow more freely. High blood pressure is a major risk factor for the development of coronary heart disease or stroke. Beetroot can be blended into delicious soups and smoothies – you need 2 beetroots a day for the best results.

Not sure if you have high BP? Why not book in for a wellness check? Our qualified Nutritional Therapist will not only check your blood pressure but also give you a 5 day food diary analysis and check your weight and body mass index (BMI).
