Diet confusion?

Do you feel overwhelmed by all the different diet advice we are bombarded with in the media? One minute fat is bad the next it’s carbs! With all the conflicting information its not surprising that most people have no idea where to start.

As a Nutritional therapist I find it helpful to look at other cultures, the healthiest nations all have very different dietary habits for example there is a big difference between the diets of the countries that top the health lists such as Singapore, Italy, Switzerland and Japan. What they do all have in common is the lack of sugar and processed food and they all tend to cook from scratch and have a higher intake of fruit and vegetables. There is no such thing as “one diet fits all”. We are all individuals and should be treated so.
