Spice up you life!


Common kitchen herbs and spices are often overlooked however nearly all of them have amazing health benefits.
Try adding these to your dishes for not only a flavour boost but a health boost too.

Thyme: can help mental focus and brain function.
Cinnamon: helps regulate blood sugar and the smell of cinnamon has been shown to improve memory.
Ginger: has anti inflammatory properties and is a must for anyone with digestive disorders. Ginger is also a great remedy for colds/flu and sickness bugs.
Garlic: one of the reasons the French have less heart problems than us Brits is the use of this power packed herb. Anti-fungal, anti-bacterial garlic is an amazing medicine used to ease chest infections colds/flu even in the treatment of athlete’s foot! Great for encouraging circulation and reducing LDL cholesterol.
Turmeric: must be the king of spices, its health benefits have been well studied, it is a powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. This golden spice is often used to ease the pain of arthritis. Turmeric has also demonstrated potential use in Alzheimer’s disease treatment and prevention. Just add black pepper to aid absorption.
