Sports Massage in Tonbridge
I qualified from the University of Cumbria in 2017 with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation Therapy, which encompassed an array of treatment modalities, specialising in Sports and Remedial Massage, as well as pre- and post-event massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, kinesiology taping and PNF neuromuscular techniques. Whilst at university I took part in numerous hours of practical massage work at charity events such as the Brathay 10 in 10, an amazing 10 day marathon event, working with the athletes to get them through the Windemere marathon every day and the Fred Witton cycling event.
Since completing my degree I decided to further develop my practical knowledge and began my four-year Integrated Master’s degree in Osteopathy at the European School of Osteopathy, here in Kent. I am set to qualify in July 2021. I have completed a Rock Doc Taping course in kinesiology taping and have practiced traditional taping methods too. During the past 3 years since qualifying as a sports therapist, I have worked with a semi-professional rugby team, providing care, creating rehabilitation plans and pitch side first aid. I have also worked treating a variety of patients and individuals using remedial massage, helping to ease the tensions of daily life, and helping restore balance to the body and mind.
I have a true passion for helping people and being a part of their healing process is a privilege, it is something which I find incredibly rewarding. Being able to use my understanding of the body and apply that practically to improve an individual’s life is a feeling I will never tire of.
