Mario QuebrarPhysiotherapy

Mario finished his Bachelors’ Degree in Physical Therapy in the Philippines in 1996. Straight after being registered in the Philippines, he started working as a Physiotherapy Instructor in his hometown’s University and as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in one of the city’s leading rehabilitation centres for 6 years before venturing to the United Kingdom.

After a long and thorough application process, he achieved his registration from the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and eventually became a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy in 2006.

Mario specializes in treating neck and shoulder pain, back and knee problems, falls prevention, as well as neurologic conditions such as Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Peripheral Nerve Injuries and Brain Injuries.

Mario’s interest in Musculoskeletal and Neurologic Rehabilitation prompted him to take up specific training to enhance his skills. He is trained in Acupuncture (limited to pain relief only), Mulligan Concept Therapy, Kinesio Taping, Muscle Energy Technique, Functional Movement Analysis, Bobath Technique in Postural Management, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) and Hydrotherapy among others. Having sound knowledge in Human Anatomy and Neuroanatomy combined with manual therapy skills in soft tissue technique, joint manipulation and specific exercise prescription makes Mario a competent, efficient and effective Physiotherapist specialising in his field.

Mario always believes in a scientific based, effective outcome and in a client-centred approach when assessing and treating various conditions to promote independence, prevent injuries and to aid a client’s return to work or sport.

Family is very important to Mario. He happily lives in Tunbridge Wells with his wife and daughter. He keeps himself fit by riding his mountain bike at Bedgebury. He has raised money for different charities participating in off-road bike rides.
