    Sophie began her career in nursing, gaining a Batchelor of Nursing Honours degree in 2000. She has worked in many fields including trauma orthopaedics and general surgery. It was after a period of being unwell Sophie discovered Acupuncture and after successful treatment she was fascinated to find out more about this ancient form of medicine.

    Sophie began her 4 year BSC Honours degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at the International College of Oriental Medicine and qualified in 2007. She is classically trained in 5 Element Stems and Branches and TCM( Traditional Chinese Medicine). She has practised in a number of clinic locations in Sussex and has continued to work in the NHS in various roles, her current role being a member of a busy multidisciplinary Community Rehab Team.

    Sophie enjoys the holistic aspect of Chinese Medicine and always endeavours to expand her knowledge in different fields. She has a special interest in women’s health including the sometimes difficult journey through menstruation, fertility, childbirth and menopause. Sophie has worked with many women who have been through the trauma of miscarriage and uses acupuncture and massage to assist the body, mind and spirit to heal.

    Sophie also has a keen interest in mental health issues such as depression and anxiety and has helped many clients improve their quality of life through the balancing properties of Acupuncture. Sophie is a qualified massage therapist and often combines massage and acupuncture within her treatments. Sophie lives in East Sussex and really enjoys walking with her family and 2 dogs in the beautiful Sussex countryside.
