Areas of expertise:
Growing up I always had a keen interest in sport, exercise and the human body. Following school, I spent three years working as a swimming teacher mainly around the Tonbridge and Sevenoaks areas and then decided to enter the world of manual therapy. I am now in my second year of studies working towards an integrated master’s degree in Osteopathy.
While at university I wanted to be able to work in a field relevant to my studies, and so in October 2017 I qualified in Level 3 Sports Massage. Since qualifying I have worked both privately and at a CrossFit gym in Crayford. My studies at university have helped me to become totally absorbed in my new job and helped me to really get the most out of it.
One of my favourite aspects of swim teaching was having the ability to improve even just a small area of a person’s life, and I feel that transitioning into sports massage has allowed me to continue that, but in a different environment.
Outside of university I regularly attend CrossFit classes at CrossFit Tunbridge Wells and try to swim once a week. Keeping healthy and exercising are things that play a big part in my life, and so I am keen to help others stay healthy and pain free through the application of sports massage.
