Areas of expertise:
I am a counsellor with nearly fifteen years experience of working with adults and young people from the age of eleven upwards. I work with individuals and couples with issues such as anxiety, depression, confidence/self-esteem and have extensive experience of working with loss, diagnoses of life changing conditions and therefore a loss of the sense of who you are.
I have worked and still work in a number of different settings, at KIMS hospital on the psychological medicine team and in London with the RNIB, ensuring I see a diverse group of clients. I have worked for many years with those who have lost their eyesight either due to an eye condition or through an accident, as well as seeing those who may be in the process of receiving treatment for a condition or illness.
People can experience stress and anxiety with the above issues but there are also many other reasons why we sometimes need a safe, private space where we can speak with someone who won’t judge us on our choices or opinions, but help us to process feelings, work out where some of our behaviours and choices come from and should we choose to, make changes or find solutions.
