Yoga Therapy & Mindfulness at The Mind Body Clinic
The Mind Body Clinic are pleased to announce that we are now offering Yoga Therapy & Mindfulness Classes with our new therapist Kate Elliott.
Mindfulness is about paying more attention to the present moment, to your thoughts and feelings, and the world around you. As we start to be more connected with the world around us and how we react to it, we start to feel more in control and have more choice in the decisions we make and how we respond to challenges in life. Mindfulness practice is like training for the mental muscle, and over time, with sustained practice you will start to turn down your stress response and create new pathways in your brain and notice changes in anxiety levels, quality of sleep and relationships with yourself and others.
Juggling life, such as work, family, social media, and change, can be tricky at the best of times, and if you throw in the challenge of the last year, it can feel overwhelming, and not surprisingly increase feelings of stress, anxiety and irritability. And this is where mindfulness can help.
It can give you a welcome pause in your day, how often do you stop, just for 5 minutes? Mindfulness can also help you manage stress and anxiety and improve your overall wellbeing.
Yoga Therapy takes a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. A qualified yoga therapist can help to improve both physical and mental health by prescribing tailored yoga movements, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques that are unique to each individual. Yoga Therapy empowers each individual to progress holistically towards improved health and wellbeing with the use of a variety of different yoga techniques and practices.
